Top 6 Christmas Beauty Tips

Top 6 Christmas Beauty Tips

December 04, 2018

Tis the season to be jolly!

Whether you're going to your office do, seeing old friends or driving home to see loved ones, no doubt you'll want to look your best this festive season.  Surviving Christmas does of course mean fighting hangovers, puffy eyes and completely over-indulging (one more Quality Street, anyone?)  Don't worry, we've got you covered!  We share our insider secrets to keep you looking your sparkling best!

  1. Preparation

It sounds obvious, but with all the rushing around at Christmas, it can be so easy to forget the things we need.  If you're away for a night or two, write a list of things you'll need to pack.  Knickers, contact lenses, medication - an absolute nightmare if you forget to pack them, and not something you can borrow off your Auntie Jean!
  2. Eat well

When you're starting every day in December with a lump of chocolate from your advent calendar it's all too easy to let any kind of healthy eating plan go right out of the window! Treats are fine, but it's also important to remember the age old adage that you are what you eat!  Trust us, you'll feel, and look better for it.  Food supplements are also a great way to make sure you're getting the vitamins you need to keep you looking your best - we recommend our 3 in 1 Collagen Beauty Drink; packed full of beautifying vitamins for hair, skin and nails -  and it's yummy too!
  3. Relax

Between fighting for the biggest turkey in Tesco or having a few too many cocktails at the works do, it can be so easy to forget to relax.  If you're flagging, 15 minutes in a hot bath with a few drops of your favourite oils does wonders for your soul - and keeps you glowing and refreshed!

  4. Keep hydrated

That fourth glass of prosecco doesn't count!  Remember to drink your 8 glasses of water a day.  Long nights and cold days can leave our skin looking dull and dry.  Be sure to stay hydrated to keep yourself feeling your be; it'll put you in good stead to battle your hangover too!

  5. Take your make-up off

We cannot stress this enough!  At the end of a long day, it can be so tempting to roll straight into bed, but please remember to cleanse, tone and moisturise first!  A breakout over Christmas would not be ideal! Yikes!
  6. Have fun!

It' the most magical time of the year.  You've worked hard all year, you deserve to let your hair down.  Try not to get yourself so bogged down with trying to make sure that everyone else has an amazing Christmas that you forget to have a good time yourself!  Stop polishing silverware, step away from the duster and stop rearranging those baubles.  Christmas is a time of love and appreciation; it's about spending time with loved ones and watching Elf at least 3 times.  Have fun and enjoy every minute of it!
